When not spinning and knitting, Julia is a science writer and editor in Toronto. To develop her wearable textiles Julia interprets a visual image, or sometimes a sentiment, to create a garment that will bring pleasure to the wearer and the viewer. Colour, texture, and functionality are primary motivations when creating the fabric from handspun natural fibres.
